Yesterday, I just had the last lecture of my undergraduate life.
THE LAST LECTURE.

I have been pretty excited in the last two weeks about the school semester coming to an end - not needing to do anymore assignments, presentations and finals. And yesterday when it's finally here, the last lecture at least (I still have 2 freaking assignments and 3 finals haha), I thought I'd be happier. Then it dawned on me that I'm still jobless.

In the last lecture, Dr Pang also talked about career prospects after undergraduate life, then she talked about doing Masters, PhD etc. I then decided to pop by the webpages where I applied jobs at like SSI and MSF. There I saw a couple of "unsuccessful" in the statuses and I felt a little discouraged. I know it's still early and there's still time to look around, but I just felt a little dejected? That just based on resume/cover letter, I didn't do a good enough job to sell myself.

I think I feel sadder that I'm not getting shortlisted for interviews rather than failing at the interview a couple of weeks ago. At least, then, I was given a chance to prove myself and then they realise I'm not suitable for it, fair enough. The fact that being rejected before even getting a chance to prove myself hurts more imo. But I know the reality is that the HR team receives so many applicants that they really can't interview everyone of course. It's just that... the truth hurts.

Jobs aside, my week in a nutshell...

The last group presentation :) We had really nonsensical transition lines and my group mates are really such enthusiastic bunch :D I had a lot of fun preparing for this group presentation!

With my fav prof, Dr Tsai! (I think she doesn't know how much I like her haha)

HAHA @ THE HEIGHT GRADIENT. Anyway, I die in psychometrics class a few times every week but I think overall it's still bearable because Dr Cha is really passionate about stats and he always tries to make it fun for us with all his sneaky little tricks and games. And thankful to have a friend, Darren who's took this class with me and I made friends with those in sittig at our table too!

The most awesome classmates of the sem who had to stick through the almost-3-hour-seminars on TGIF-not nights! And after that we go home together~ Easties unite! HAHA.

With our dear Dean's Office staff Pauline who always have to answer our queries when OTHER people have queries which we don't have answers to HAHAHA (we student assistants know a lot of things but we don't know everything) On hindsight, time flies. I've been working with DO for 3 years already! And I'm thankful to Chings to introducing this job to me so that I can earn some extra cash haha.

I am very blessed in so many ways. I thought that the last semester was going to be a lonely one because many of my batch mates have graduated. But lo and behold, there are actually many year 4.5s still in school! And yep, my presentation group mates were all made up of the year 4.5 peeps. Even for classes where I didn't have much friends initially, I ended up making new friends and they made every class so much more vibrant and fun. I'm thankful for all the new friendships and thankful for all the memories created. They'll forever be etched in my heart.
