One more week till I start work at the Home officially. Time really flies. I feel like I haven't had enough break. All the goals I set for myself are barely completed because either I'm going out a lot, overseas or..... just watching GoT/Netflix. LOL. Holidays are never enough isn't it. Especially when the next thing you're going back to is werrrkkkk.

Last week I just came back from PD and KL and it was a really enjoyable trip! Though a tad bit too short D: 3D2N in PD and 2D1N in KL. The KL bit is definitely too short. And it's lots of fun semi-road-tripping with zw too. Chatting about anything under the sun and singing songs in the car. Can't wait for more road trippin' together in the future! Perks of having a boyfriend who has a car yea :P

I have alllllwwwaaaayyyyyyys wanted to go to PD because the resort looked so beautiful in pictures! And true enough, it's not just in pictures but the resort was really beautiful. We stayed at Lexis Hibiscus resort and there's a private pool in every room and a little glass window on the ground to see the water underneath. If we paid a little more, we could have a room with the sea view. But nope, cheapo so our room overlooked other rooms. HAHA. The resort is huge so they even have buggy service to ferry people around and we totally made full use of it hahahahha. There's nothing much to do in PD honestly but it's the company that matters the most :) It's the puasa period too so there's quite a number of street markets around selling delicious food and snacks.

One of our tourist stop was to the Ostrich Farm! There were other farm animals like goats, horses, pony, cows, rabbits etc and we get to feed them. I, being the scaredy cat, only put the animal feed on my hand once or twice and fed it to the pony. Took really long and much persuasion for me to do that even. For the rest of the animals, I settled with feeding them the long stick of green onion which I can do from afar without them licking or touching my hands LOL. I know, what a pussy. I am.



And of courseeeee, one cannot miss the beaches at PD. We only went to one beach uh. Not enough time actually. We caught the sunset there - really blessed with nice weather and some clouds (to give that ombre effect) and played with some poppers and sparklers by the beach.




I also met a few of zw's relatives on this trip! His family is from Klang and I got to try Klang bkt that people rave about. His uncle brought us to this DRY bkt store and it's my first time trying dry bkt. It was indeed yummmzzzz! And now I know where he got his talk-so-much genes. It runs in the family. LOL. On the other hand, my family is pretty quiet and non-chatty. Haha. After Klang, we headed to KL and I met his pretty cousin and her bf. Really nice of them to bring us out for dinner and drinks. Super gorgeous view of the KL night skyline and the twin towers from Vertigo. Love it!


I'll definitely be back again :)

A few days ago, I hosted a BBQ downstairs! Everyone brought plus one except me. Hahahahha. Cuz this zw la. PS me and go Aussie with his friends. Jk. Nice catch up with everyone and it's quite funny how I became friends with this gang such that I would even host them for a bbq - by being the surprise guest for Wenz' birthday outings. Hahahaha. I mean, they were my psych friends and we did project work together in school but school's school and after school, everyone's back to their own lives. Thanks to Wenz for organising this BBQ!


Holidays and fun aside, I've had a lot of thoughts about my career trajectory recently. 1.5 years into working life, many of my friends have already progressed to take on assistant managerial and even managerial roles, and getting paid much higher by now. And here I am, just starting out in my career, taking fresh grad kind of pay.

I'm definitely happy about my first step towards a social work career and I've thought about how the next few years could possibly be like for me and what I want to aim towards. Slow and steady yea, but still, slow. Hmm. All I can wish for is that I'm making the right choice.
